shout out to the mazdaspeed6. Most expensive project ive owned. Everything costs a minimum of $200, the fuel system is fragile and the transfer case is horrible. Not easy to work on either so the time cost is huge.

I have a 335i n54. Itās very reliable because I donāt do stupid ass modifications to F it up! If you keep it in stock form and always keep up the maintenance, it wonāt let you down!

On my 3rd n54 bmw. They have all been pretty reliable. People just need to understand they are high maintenance.

An rx8 without question is the best drivers car you can get under 100k. And yes they may be a tad expensive in maintenance, but the fact you can get 5-6 of those cars for the price of 1 s2000. Leaves you with enough room price wise to get it fully dialed. So in theory itās one of the best cars you can get regardless if you are pinching Pennieās.
Another example, for the price of a clapped out 350z you can get a full rebuild, wheels tires suspension and get the oil metering system switch to 2 stroke for the price of a clapped 350z

I have 335is n54 for 13 years running almost 500 hp to the crank and it is reliable but German cars need maintenance on schedule and spare parts are expensive. Thats is the only bad thing in German cars

Stay away from the r172 SLK, the body panels fall off if you go too fast....

Iāve seen some nice modified (single turbo) n54 335s. If I would get one it would be one that was taken care of and modified to be better and more reliable. Obviously higher maintenance cars but knowing that I think it would be a solid car on a conservative tune with the major stuff of concern replaced with better aftermarket stuff.

Took my rx8 offroading yesterday no issues except it overheated cuz the car in front was slow. To be fair i was also trying to go slow. Carās low and didnāt want to bottom out
