Seems like Bucky is finally living with his two egos in harmony. In FATWS we never really see him flip his switch. Here it seems like he can go to the breaking point and stay there for as long as necessary to get the job done

Bucky has been a natural-born fighter since he was sixteen. Another thing to remember is that his Winter Soldier fighting skills are ingrained in him due to his 70+ years of Hydra brainwashing. Then there's his PTSD, Anxiety, Depression nightmares, etc.
Another thing, in the comics Bucky uses the moniker "Winter Soldier" as his hero name. This means that he reclaims it and redeems himself as he finds his way back to being a hero instead of just a murderous fighting machine.
