Nepal is mostly the culprit here. If they havenât given so many permits and more restriction, as it was said last year, things like this wouldnât happen. I looked it up. As it now, Nepal has given 427 permits, but that number is expected to rise to 500. Add the Sherpas and you have almost, if not, a thousand people that need to made it to the summit in a very narrow window of time. Nepal has risen the cost of the permit to 15k during peak season. For that price they should have given less permits, but they donât care. In the end, is all about greed.

Wow that is a lot of money
Seven summit with 100 climbers, at the minimum which is $28,000 per person, means that is $2.8 million!
But, the avergae price is about $50-60k.
So with those numbers they can make upwards of $6 million
And finally they offer a high end $120,000 package. This would mean $12,000,000 in one season!!!

I missed out on my first summit due to crowds and daylight restrictions... 2 days later, we summitted, and the view and photos were unbelieveable.... the whole trip cost me about 20k, but its honestly a very fake commercial experience... And some of the people you meet along the way at various camps are so infit and underprepared, and they SLOW EVERYBODY DOWN and make it extremely dangerous for those who are physically and mentally prepared. or some reason people think that because they are rich, they have every right to take their time due to their poor fitness. I summited in 2008. Apparently its twice as bad now....

RIP those who will fall while waiting in line.
RIP those who will climb when the weather is unfavorable because your permitted time is almost up
RIP you natural climbers who would survive with some oxygen or a guide
RIP sherpas or guides who wonât survive the 2025 season. I care about you and wish I could save you.

I just donât understand the pull to do something that, that if you do it, essentially destroys the very thing that you supposedly covet so greatly. It makes no sense to me. There have been SO many people who climb it, and the Everyone uses sherpas to actually carry their gear anyways so theyâre not even ACTUALLY accomplishing the feat. If they wanted to ACTUALLY do something amazing, solo Everest WITHOUT oxygen support like Gotan Krupp or David Gottler. Instead these insane straight up tourists are determined to create a gawdamn traffic jam on the highest peak all while littering the road with their unfortunate corpses.. đ¤Śââ
