You guys should do a short dedicated to the finishing Carpentry. I've seen the crossetted corners in your door casings and they are to die for. It's little features like that that really make a home stand out. I don't know if they were original with the house or if you just had an extremely talented finishing carpenter but as someone that is super into details I'd love to see it. ❀

I agree and love it. The only problem is that you then train your body to fall asleep only when the room is dark and it becomes hard to fall asleep/nap when there is light

Also? What is the wood you have used on the stairs.. is it maple or maybe cherry? I live in a century home with a winding staircase very similar to yours and the banisters are cherry and I'm thinking of doing the stairs in the same wood/stain as the banister. I'd love to know!
