Al was the most isolated. But the loneliest person ever was Sergei Krikalev, I would argue: He was on the Mir space station when USSR collapsed in 1991, and he spent 311 days alone there. Because during the chaos getting him home was not a priority. He couldn't even be sure that it would actually happen.
