Not entirely true. Many historians wrote about Alexander, and Arrian mentions them as sources, but those sources have not survived. The sources included Ptolemy, one of Alexander's generals and then Pharaoh of Egypt.

Alexander's conquests and his one defeat / draw in India is noted by historians across the world, not just those close to him. Jesus's "miracles" are only chronicled by one guy who wanted to spread that death cult.

The earliest surviving source for Alexander is Diodorus Siculus 1st century B.C. And their are multiple Archaeological artefacts from Egypt ,Mesopotamia, even Asia, like coins bearing his face minted during his rule, multiple inscriptions dedicated to him(during his life time) and cities that he named, after himself.
