I can't overwinter frogs in this, because it would need to have an area that's a lot deeper, but I have to solve the immediate problem of getting better water quality for the few little frogs that are in there at the moment. The fountain has a very weedy motor of 1.5W, but I think anything bigger would be too much for their small space, and for them. I'll know in about a week if the water improves, by the look of it.
