I was in this nerdy music group in college and we had, like, a full orchestra as well as a rock section so we did all our own tech and our sound board was named Wiley.
We would talk about him using his name so much that we accidentally confused one of our newer members once into thinking that Wiley was some mysterious other tech person he'd somehow never met for like half a year lmao.

Non musicians are always shocked when they hear the prices of instruments and gear. I'm not even on the sound side at all atm, just school and instruments. People are shocked and think reeds are expensive (tbh they are, but I'm used to it now). I've found some people thing most instruments are only a few hundred dollars, but in reality they're so expensive! How ever they're worth every penny because idk where I'd be if it wasn't for music!
