Killing the devil doesn't solve the problem. We've sinned and deserved punishment. Jesus being both God and man could take the punishment for us. They devil can't.
Jesus saying "Why have you forsaken me?" was quoting the opening verse of Psalm 22. This psalm is a prophesy describing what Jesus was going through and how through this event God will reach the world. Look up Mike Winger psalm 22 for more info.

Easy answer if you understand the true dynamic of what happened in the garden of Eden. It's about sovereignty. He could of killed the angel that later became Satan BUT the questions the Devil raised would of still lived. There was only two humans on earth but there were millions of angels looking on. Only time could answer the questions raised in the Garden of Eden.
As far as Jesus, Genesis 3:15. First prophecy in the bible.
As soon as the rebellion took place in Eden the arrangement for Jesus was already made to ensure God's purpose would still be realized.
