My family came through the underground and settled in Buxton. The Canadian government gave land to Free Blacks. The settlement is still there. In fact, the Canadian government built a museum there. Many of the original buildings are still there. Our museum has artifacts from slavery and is full of our history. Buxton is only two hours from the Detroit bridge 😊
