In this Ultra Running VLOG - I go through my training for my next ultra marathon, along with my latest race: Saddles 100 Miles in Arizona. I also discuss the positive impact of running on your mental health.

The past 2 weeks have been hectic to say the least. It left little time to train, but last minute we've decided to go to Prescott for Saddles 100 Miles ultra marathon in Arizona. A good vibe race that served a nice break from the stress of day to day life.

Although I haven't had much time to train, there's also very exciting race coming up in October! First, Grand Raid - Diagonale des Fous. 100 miles on the Reunion Island. Considered one of the toughest course for 100 miles, with very technical trails and 33k ft of gain (without poles).

Then 1 week recovery before racing for the 5x time Javelina Jundred - 100 miles in arizona. Halloween party so working on my costume!

Hey Simon; while it’s great that you’re talking about mental health and how, through. Ultra running you g; time for yourself to focus and destress from other aspects of your life; I can hear the toll your current situation is taking in your voice in both episodes you’ve posted this week and I’m concerned things are taking a bigger toll than you’re letting on to. You are a strong man, however, i want to suggest that you take time to get a counselor to talk to. It’s not a sign of weakness but rather a healthy sign that you’re trying to attend to the challenges in your life. Please trust me that i know a what I’m talking about and there’s a time to take additional measures:-)

Do you have any tips for preventing chafing, especially in the groin area?

This is one of my biggest problems with long runs. Next to wanting to go too far too soon.
