Hi Kevin, i use this strategy to keep my money breakeven if price go lower.
Using 1x (aka no leverage) in short position. Long position is spot.
But....if price makes a 2x on higher side i have to sell both positions to avoid losing.
For ex my recent entry...
LINK/USDT at 6$ (2 pos long + short at same price).
Now if Link go to 3 i close my short pos. and buy more link, happy day.
But if Link go to 12$ i have to sell both positions to end BE, and my Link position on spot is gone... without any gain's this, this is not what i want as an long term investor in Link.
Advantage i see....probability to hit first the lower price is maybe 75% versus 25% to go 12$ in this bear market
