Why smart and intelligent people are becoming alcoholics. An organisation called The National Longitudinal Study of Adolescent to Adult Health (add health) did research on this topic.
They found this has an impact from their childhood itself. Children who have IQ above 125 are prone to become alcoholics when they become adults. They wondered the intelligent person should be aware of the side effects of the alcohol, but why they choose alcoholism. They found, a normal person only thinks about his life, but an intelligent person ovethinks about the world’s problems in addition to his own. Hence to save himself from the emotional damage, they are choosing alcohol.
