Lucile, I love all of your videos. You are such an elegant lady and explain French culture so well. Yet I am amazed by the way you hold a fork (using the index finger as a sort of ‘poussette’….which is very far from the way French forbears (at least those of the bourgeoisie) would have done)….and closer to the way a fork is held by young women today in Thailand….less used to European cutlery and more familiar to ‘chop sticks’ and spoon. It is amazing how tiny nuances of table manners (or more flagrant ones) can be a ‘deal breaker’ in social situations such as on dates or meeting the future ‘in laws’. I feel that this would be a fascinating subject to explore in your videos and by comparison to your American boyfriend, where knife and fork skills are very different from both British and French ones. Love you to bits. Keep it up…..from an Aussie fan in Paris. 🦘
