This advice is very misleading.
Making content, professional content that people pay for takes skill, time and money. Kits and software, cost money, a lot. Film festivals cost money. A lot of money and the average Joe does not have access to people there who make these decisions. And you will not be taken seriously. What we don't see enough of anymore is collectives. Better advice would be to start one, and engage with others who have similar aspirations to form them. Learn about starting and running a production company. Collectivise. Unless you have loads of money, have rich parents with industry contacts it's practically impossible alone. Collectivise.

I want to be an actress, a screenwriter, and a director for this film that I have in mind. Iβve started in the writing, but I donβt want some other person to direct my film since ik what character I want. Hopefully it all goes as planned (btw Iβm a teen rn so like by the time I finish school I wanna start with film).
