I let a 2002 Kia Spectra sit for 4 years, no cranking, moving, anything. I had actually lost the key and it was a $500 car so I didn't care. After 4 years I got tired of looking at it and charged the battery, had a guy come cut a key, and to our amazement it started right up. I pumped the tires back up and drove it like it was for another two years until the clutch went out. Now it's sat for another two years, someday I'll get tired of it sitting there and throw a clutch in and probably put another 100k on it. Can't kill a beater.

Never pinch flex hoses like this unless you're replacing them. If you must, stick a block of wood in the caliper or something but if that house collapses inside someone's gonna have a bad day.

Common problem, especially in areas where highway treatments like rock salt & calcium chloride are used every winter. The shit straight up destroys vehicles, especially if they are left to sit, covered in the road spray.

This has to be north or northwest.....That’s some hella rust corrosion for 2 years. I mean in the southeast I’ve had seized up brakes from rust as well, but not to this extent. I hate working on vehicles that come from “up the road”.....because it’s always overhaul time.

Salt is wicked man. I've had cars sit for 2+ years and the worst that happened was the fuel was bad and it smoked a little after sitting that long.
