What if you had to physically zero every optic that you find in a survival/extraction shooter? Otherwise you have to hold-off your dot or sights until you take the time to zero... I think a lot of gamers don't realize that those aren't sighted in by default. You can't just slap a sight on a gun and expect it to be dead-on.

Fun fact; Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 1 & 2 are the only games (or atleast the only ones I know about) that feature this "stage reload". Although it does not save partial magazines, when you get rid of a mag you still have a bullet in the chamber, wich ofc you can fire and aftewards you will pull the bolt so another bullet can be loaded into the chamber

I love how with this mechanic follows what I call, the āpanicā, reload. Essentially meaning if you double tap reload your character will drop the mag instead of saving it. This making the reload a bit faster with the loss of your magazine. However it is extremely helpful in close quarters encounters especially when caught under fire.
