This year, Peter had the honor to present the Roots So Deep team’s work at Groundswell - a huge regenerative agriculture festival in the UK.

Follow ‪@GroundswellAgriculture‬ for more from the event - and mark you calendars for July 2025!

During his presentation, Peter shared what he learned about farmers after a decade of working with farmers and scientists in this gigantic research study.

His response? “Good frickin’ people.”

Genuine relationships built on mutual respect and admiration are the foundation of Roots So Deep (you can see the devil down there) and we’re honored that AMP grazers and their conventional neighbors both embraced Peter and the team for so many years to answer the question: How can we help farmers?

This is sooooo important. So many people in the regenerative agriculture area have a disdain for "classic" farmers. If we can all just realize we're on the same side here, we can all work together to improve the food system instead of hating on each others' methods.

US society doesn't demean farmers - corporations do. They push chemicals on them, then the corporations use the image of a non-chemical farm on their packaging.

Well said it’s the warmest work people who don’t ask for nothing but respect. And they deserve it

What made America great, was the ability to grow its own food. Corporate farming is ruining that.

What gives you the knowledge and or experience to start telling farmers or ranchers how to do their job?

That's because city people think meat comes from the back of the meat section.

It’s Agribusinesses (big chemical) , pesticides, herbicides, parasiticides, GMO farm plants, that are a big part of the problem. 😢 and they’ve inserted themselves as “middleman”, blocking adequate communication between farms and the cities that depend on them

Yes I will grow crops, like corn and then sell it to make ethanol. Oh yeah and I want lots of government handouts and don't want to pay any taxes. Oh yeah farmers are great. Farming is one of the last jobs you have to be born into. Nothing free market about it.
