Happy Friday everyone! Hope this finds you all well. Soooo, I haven't posted a short for a while and so a bit of a surprise to me that Youtube has extended the duration of said shorts, thereby redefining what most of use (speaking for yours truly to be sure) had come to understand as a "short" being 60 seconds or less. One can now post up to 180 seconds and be classed as a short. I won't go that far right off the bat (as that wasn't my intention today) but instead just around 60 seconds (my fear is a longer vid containing copyright material will be blocked).

Anyway. As the title says, today's short features one of my all time faves and the gateway really to my love for Iron Maiden and honestly most things NWOBHM. With the late Paul Di'Anno on vocals here, and one of my fave drummers ever, the late Clive Burr.
This EP - Maiden Japan, was the 1st recording I owned by Maiden (though I had heard them prior to this, by about a year maybe? That's a waaay long time ago lol)
I'm no expert nor would I even consider myself all that "up" on their history. I can't name evey memeber since their beginnings in Leyton, East London back in December 1975. I'm a fan of the music...that's what I get into. Not the life stories written by journalists or media coverages. No offense to those whom are. Whatever floats ones boat. I do enjoy a good book or video from time to time. But by and large, I don't seek out what I consider much info on most bands. i.e. the drumsticks Clive used on the Piece Of Mind sessions? 😋😉 (See what I did there?)

So if you're mildly interested in these guys, two things I'll say...don't take anything I say here as "fact", mostly it's little tidbits from the album liners or the few Maiden books I've read, or video's I watched over the years. And two...check them out for yourself!
