I'm greatly in favor of Salatin and chickens and I feed mine scraps and it's great... But... The math doesn't work out here.
100 tons = 200,000lbs / 6000 chickens / 30 days = 1.1 tons per chicken per day
What am I missing?
Maybe a lot of the reduced food waste was from the people eating chicken eggs instead of other food that resulted in more food waste?
