This is true asians will tell other asians to not do the accents. I guess I watched you guys too much 😂 One time I was playing pubg with Freddie Wong because he was doing some stream with viewers thing and I did the vietnamese accents and he wasn't having it. I do understand that people got a brand to uphold though lo

I find it kind of disturbing in the sense of voice actors that have practiced hard to do different voices, that now unless they're that skin tone, people get butt hurt at them for taking the job which is crazy cause people are just trying to get $ and success in their field. Like you guys said, as long as it's a good representation of it, and not the making fun of it racist sounding type, then it's weird insisting that a cartoon character needs to be the same race as the voice actor.

I actually think, it's still the same. the issue is more that most new age comedians, they're just making fun of other cultures, by mocking them, with horrible either accents or things, they have never experienced, they just rip on other cultures, for example white comedians, but they make rip on asians, very bad, the entire time. If it's an asian person, I don't think people mind, if they make fun of essentially themselves and it's not even like they're mocking it, it's more like anecdotes. I realize people think, they miss those times, but I think it's more that comedians nowadays, have gotten worse, so now you have people, who are maybe white and they have an entire standup set, ripping on everything, but their own culture or people, they literally talk shit on disabled people, do the worst impressions or try to tell anecdotes of cultures, they're not even remotely a part of and despite others thinking, that's bad, I think it's a good thing, just because if you have any relation or connection, which even an accurate accent, as joe said, that's not mocking it, I think we as asians see it and think, damn that's accurate, which is not really the case today, it's just white guys like ricky and matt whatever, who start talking shit about everyone, cause nowadays, new age comedy, is just who has the dumbest audience, no asking questions and just mocking others.
