I work in one of them big corporate owned shops and stuff like this happens a lot so they can meet numbers. Customers come 3rd, 4th anymore.

Drp = discount repair process.
Never ever ever go to a shop that the insurance company has in their network.
It is all about how fast the shop will get the customer out of the rental car.
Quality of repairs does not matter , it is all about the length of rental, the shop gets penalties if the repairs take more than a few days so repairs are compromised as well as Quality

The shop who fixed it put an x to replace it , insurance did what they do best said no

the red marks mean it's prior to that incident insurance won't fix pay to fix it. if see green ones it was supposed to be on the estimate and replaced

when I took my bumper off for the first time an 1/8th of the passenger side bracket was so rusted it just was not even there lmao

If that repair was fairly recent there’s a big chance that that bracket is actually on back order and it was straightened versus replaced due to parts availability trust me Honda and Hyundai and Kia are horrible right now with parts. So that’s not always an indication that shops are up to shady business especially in today’s day and age to get a car in and out quicker versus waiting months for a bracket they’ll straighten it we do it all the time

Insurance totaled mine after a deer ran in front supposedly it bent the frame months later now the damn thing has most of the sensors replaced, new vacuum line, New cat, new O2 sensors new mirror, new headlight, Busted grill with duct tape gotta tear the engine apart and change Fuel Injectors bad fuel really fucked up everything but I replaced my own shit

take this video down an dont try one like it again. it’s obvious that its rusty an thats why it was marked to be replaced by insurance. but it wasn’t related to the accident so they didn’t replace, obviously.
