Yeah but no. If you don’t want to teach children how to properly start a camp fire and basic skills because you’re an irresponsible parent with irresponsible children because you don’t supervise them correctly… then sure. Don’t let them close to maintain the fire or start it.

That's dumb. Treat people like they're incompetent, and that's all they'll be. Make them start the fire, make them cook their own food, make them put out the fire, and make them clean up after themselves. If you treat them like responsible adults, that's what they'll be.

Hhahaahahahahahaaa....no. No. My boys learned how to light, cook with and extinguish a fire by doing it themselves under instruction.
They've lit their own now. No injuries. No accidents. No wildfires.
DON'T SHELTER CHILDREN - EDUCATE THEM.
Be a parent, not a 'don't do that' warden.
