It's sad that Blizzard went more towards themepark mmo instead of an actual rpg type where touching grass was important. Player retention would've been much higher also

Your next WoW Fact should be the hidden secret-quest at the DarkMoon Faire to get a pet Jubling (huge red and blue frog that drank beer). You had to get a bunch of Dark Iron Ale Mugs to bring back the Orc-Lady's frog to her and then a bit more so you'd trade an additional ale for a Jubling egg. Afterwards, you had to wait a week of real-life time for it to hatch.
Sometimes I would get a bunch of Dark Moon Ale so I can give that pet to noobs.

And pre-cata to get darkmoon rep to exalted you would have to collect alot and I mean alot of decks to get rep for those going for insane in the membrane(which can be another world of Warcraft fact on its own)

I liked that it was a traveling circus-fair: it gave a reason for people to travel across the world and risk a little bit of dangerous fun. Additionally, it kinda fit with the world-setting and drew you in because they'd only show up once-a-month for a week on either side - kinda giving the idea it takes a month for the Faire to travel from one side of the world to the next.
