I started by smoking the seasoned thick tomahawk steaks in a 250 degrees smoker. When the steak is ten degrees less than your desired doneness, pull it from the smoker and sear them over super high heat for about a minute on each side to form a beautiful crust on the steaks. I like my steaks around 140-145 degrees, so I seared the steaks when it reached 130 degrees. It’s all preference!
No Limit Tip: When picking the perfect tomahawk steak, make sure there’s plenty of marbling (it’s the thin white flecks spread across the steak). The more marbling you see, the more buttery, rich, and tender it’s going to taste!
