No. For years I was in the United Methodist church and witnessed it sliding down into the sewer. I left about 15 years ago in disgust. So glad I did. Now Methodist are charging head first into the gates of hell.

God Bless John MacArthur - heā€™s not perfect of course but he tries so hard and doesnā€™t pull punches!

A humble confession of the sins of the church of Scotland. Is a heavy one and it's the only one I've ever found outside of Confessions by Augustine

In the Orthodox church we have forgiveness Vespers once a year right after the blessing of the waters. We all ask forgiveness from everyone in the congregation followed by "God forgives and I forgive." This includes all the clergy. We prostrate while we ask for forgiveness.

It unfortunately is a rare experience to even hear about the need for repentance even from a pulpit with the exception of pastor John mcarthur

No, but I've left a few churches that would not even allow you to question, anything!

Never! Why we would we want to remain in doing evils and wrongs when GOD'S HOLY WORDS AND SCRIPTURES says for the wages of sin is death! And all your prayers and blessings is refused to you along with chastisement will come unto you! It's best just to obey GOD when you know what he said. And don't repeat your actions.

Repentance is an individual state that is been recognized by baptism. As a symbol of such, it is not a group activity unless you add the end of individuals together. Wake up

Just curious if MacArthur's church has ever done this?

1) NO 2) NO I confronted 2 pastors in my life that said and did things against with malicious intentions. Both refused to acknowledge there sins & refused to repent. Pastors are NOT celebrities. A church that does not keep there pastors, elders, deacons accountable will not be effective in witnessing to the lost, because they themselves are lost.
