You have no idea how excited I would’ve been as a 10 year old seeing that wifi screen. I would’ve just totally assumed it actually can pinpoint where the the APs are. I would’ve been a menace at every house I went to, asking where their router is.

We need more silly, techno-futuristic interfaces these days.
We're living in it, so let's make it look like it should, right?

Having used a Toshiba similar to this, that touchpad feature is awesome once you get used to it.

That WiFi selector brings back memories. I have a Vista Laptop that had that feature and I always thought it was so cool. It was so Futuristic and I wish companies tried to make cool things again like this.

I remember my mom's toshiba satellite having this exact touchpad and software. Mid 2000's was the time of gimmicks and shiny plastic.

That WiFi selector is brilliant. "This is a Toshiba system! I know this!"

Damn that's a lot of functionality in a tiny touchpad. Would actually like to see that implemented in a modern, larger touchpad and the Wifi selector is actually very cool.

I had one of those, paid 3700 new. It had Harmon Kardin speakers and would run TV signal. I bought the TV remote too (aftermarket). I loved that wi-fi selector interface…it was high-tech, low-drag looking. Made me feel like a was on the Enterprise going where no man has gone before.

"Toshiba what were you thinking?" is my general opinion of the Qosmio range.

"Very silly idea"

My man, I know people who would kill to have that kind of quick file shortcuts come with Windows by default. That looks awesome.

Ah yes, Toshiba Qosmio… I remember I used to call them Toshiba Quizmo laptops because I couldn't pronounce the name but I had remembered seeing Quizmo Flip tabletop games with the cute little 'answer unit'.
