That's simple: marketing.
Very bad trip has a justification, "gueule de bois" the translation of hangover is not really flashy but bad trip is the same idea and very bad trip is definitely flashy. But the thing is the movie worked well in France which is rare for American comedies, so the marketing team thought that if they put "very bad" before every movie vaguely similar it would sell better XD
Same for sex, one teen movie worked well with Sex in it so every teen movie must have it...

I saw some Jaws merch in France with the title “Les Dents de la Mer.” (Teeth of the Sea) Narrowly rejected titles no doubt include, “Very Bad Swim,” and “Sexy Shark.”
