We visited #CES2024 and saw some TVs that blew our mind. Here are some of those displays, but they keep getting bigger, brighter, and weirder.

I'm just happy to see microLED products actually becoming real.
My first gen QLED display has the worse backlight bleeding and clouding ever.

Lil clarification for those who care: I'm not saying these specific models are worth paying for, I'm just excited to see new tech getting out of the experiment phase, obviously I'll still have to wait a few years until they become reasonable for everyone to buy, but at least there's a path to follow for better screens with better durability.

Will wait another 20 years for this technology to actually become affordable.

We are reaching a point where increases in quality become nearly indiscernible, unless you look at the impact they have on your wallet. I'd honestly like to see more of this R&D being used to make current gen products cheaper, because the majority of people don't have a use for tech of this high quality. Not saying I want innovation to stagnate, but innovation doesn't always have to mean "MORE PIXELS=MORE BETTER!"

The first tcl we bought broke within a month, it would turn on and play sound from a show but the screen never showed up or turned on

8K is useless for at least 10 more years. There is extremely little content and is going to be that for a long time except for maybe a little, little bit of gaming. 4K is a lot better for now.

Apparently the wealthy and product manufacturers don’t feel the recession…
Given what they’re making proves the gap is getting wider. 😐
