Perhaps one of the most often underrated pieces of safety equipment for kiteboarding, the kite knife. This safety device has been around since the beginning, but it is often overlooked by many. This video was created to highlight the importance of keeping a kite knife on you, as well as demonstrate the functionality of the knife. I bought a knife after I tried to catch a kite that a friend of mine lost. The line near the Bar got tangled around my foot while the kite was starting to take off again near the shore. ^^ luckily nothing happened but the good intention trying to save the kite could have quickly ended in a disaster
