Theres a simple term for this: Stacked design.
Individual aspects about her would be fine, but it's all combined that makes her a problem. Her design is currently unhealthy for that very reason, why she's bad for the game as is, and why she's always at the top of the meta since season 1. It's tiring to see her in 8/10 games for most the match in M-GM. Blizz claims they purposely avoid perfect balance to change the meta up, but Kiri has been meta since release. Even Ana fell off meta for a time, when is it Kiri's turn?

No Emongg! Cooldown timing is a terrible way to nerf the character, having mini-ults on 25 second cooldowns is why people hate playing into like half the support roster. The pure utility of these abilities is what needs to be nerfed. Ana nade is as long as a cooldown should be in this game, anything longer and the ability is clearly wayyy too powerful and in need of reworking (e.g Suzu, bap frisbee, mercy rez: all incredibly unfun abilities to play into, all long ass cooldowns to compensate).

We went from having each support fill a unique role, to supports filling every role.
We had the DPS support in Zen, the speed booster in Lucio, the damage booster in Mercy, high burst healer/ anti nade in Ana, dive support in Moira and anti dive in Brig.
Baptiste was the start of the support issue imo with high healing and damage, strong abilities to keep your team alive, strong vertical movement and a strong team ult.

I feel bad about it but kiri is my favorite character, I always play her cause her kit is so fun. You feel like an unspoken hero every match when you get good plays off. I understand that suzu is not fun to be up against but sombra has similar stuff. I mean that in they both stop the other players from having fun. So I understand the hate

Yeah the thing with Kiriko is that her kit is too juiced, each ability does way too much, but sheās also an absolute joy to play. I think that nerfing her cooldowns to be baby ults isnāt the play just because Bap field and Ana dart and made just are not fun to play against despite long cooldowns, I think the real solution is making Suzu just a cleanse and nothing else and giving teleport slightly lower range and a very brief windup. Everything she does is fun and synergistic, her left click is awesome, hitting big suzu feels so good and meaningful to hit, and self-peel made her fun even in some of the gameās most dive-heavy metas, but sheās inarguably not fun to play against
