So this guy was completely right about the next track, “silence. Introspection.”, after you defeat Gabriel he has a moment of clarity of how god is dead and the last embers of his light are dying out, leaving him with nothing.
He then proceeds to murder the council of angels who are saying that what they are doing is the will of god, and once the last councilor was slain, he is left with nothing, and he no longer has the light of god within him, meaning that he will die within hours, and that he has come to terms with it.
