Here is an explanation of what is actually going here.

x^2 is positive, and + 9 is positive. Therefore, x^2 can not equal a negative number.

For two positive numbers to equal zero is not 'real', and the solution to something as strange as this must be 'complex'.

the letter " i " represents a complex/imaginary number.
There is no n-th root of a negative number when "n" is an even number.
That's why they are called imaginary numbers because, technically, they are not real, tho they have real-world use.

the setup is x²-n² and there's a formula (x-n)(x+n) so it's (x-3i)(x+3i)=0 making the roots -3i and 3i

x^2 + 3^2 can be written as
(x^2 + 3^2 + 6x) -6x /Trying to write this in (a+b)^2 form
(x+3)^2 -(✓6x)^2 / to write this in a^2 -b^2 form
(x+3 -✓6x) (x+3+✓6x)
