I took it for years and I suffered from nightmares regularly almost every night. It was only after I stopped did the nightmares stop. I had no idea the melatonin had a connection to the nightmares.

I wonder about kids melatonin. I don't have kids, but I have friends that will give their kids melatonin. One is directed to every night by their doctor due to several things. But some do occasionally or most nights without direction from a doctor. I wonder if it's creating dependency.
Personally, I took melatonin once. Made me sleepy for about 2 hours, but i couldn't fall asleep. After 2 hours, I was wide awake,but wanting to sleep, for the rest of the night.

Since melatonin doesn't work for me, I found that making my own cannibis chocolates and having a small piece before bed gives me a great night's sleep. And....it's 100% natural since I control the product from seed to harvest. And I use actual organic cocoa.

I have insomnia. Melatonin doesn’t do it for me. Even prescription meds aren’t 100%. Wish I could just sleep all night. Ugh..

Melatonin may work for some and that's great. I tried it once a few years back an ended up fully awake with a thumper of a head ache. Not for me.
