Is the architect nature itself? The one thing that can model the entire world, shape our surroundings more than we EVER recognize, changing urban cities into cities not just for humans, but for all life, including shaping our other human creations? (Side note:
There’s a character who’s a robot in a new Netflix animated show called Scavengers rein (I think that’s what it’s called) who slowly becomes self-aware after some kind of biolife gets into its system. It’s a great watch!)

Plot twist: The architect was the deer, which wasn't a deer but a dolpin masquerading as a whale, masquerading as chimp, masquerading as a human, who shape shifted into a deer to troll the poor robot.

Thanks for mentioning the Becky Chambers book! I love Long Way, and I'm stoked to check this one out from the library.

Immediately thought of Psalm for the Wild-Built! Beautiful piece and great read - perfect for when you want media to be gentle with you 😅

The big robot hasn't been moving for a while judging by liquid corrosion on the side of its lip and top of forehead

In a weird way, the foliage makes the robot look more human. The leaves and branches on it head act almost as hair, and the brush-land in its neck and torso almost resemble tissue or muscle, hell, even skin.

This artwork looks like it inspired the DreamWorks movie The Wild Robot.

Cool picture. I somehow doubt that robot can function very well with all of the overgrown plant life inside it though.

The robot could be the Colossus from Greek mythology.
