I didn't fall like that but I used 3 points of contact and went down the right way my foot missed the second step and slid down on my stomach

Been there, done that. 3 points or contact and all. 1st you’re supposed to get out and step down in reverse. 2nd is three points of contact. 3rd you should always make sure your steps are free of ice, snow, and debris. That said, I stepped down and the ground had a super low point where my foot was supposed to meet the ground and I felt like I fell to my death. I stayed on the ground flat on my back for at least three minutes. Nobody came to my aid and my back wasn’t broken so life moved on. Never reported such an embarrassing incident.
