After a two year long break I recently came back to Stellaris and opened my first L-gate. I absolutely destroyed everything on the other side and waged a war with another empire to secure the whole cluster and all I got was one crummy nanite.

I wish they would have cinematic scenes like this in the game where there's like news about the L-gate you could see on an in-game news channel or something. That would be so cool!

Ever since I started playing as a fanatical materialist civilization, I've been the first person to crack the L-gates in every multiplayer game I've had.
Normally when my fleets are 20k in strength, and everyone else is at 5k.
