For people wondering: this was heads-up and it is a whole different game. Almost every hand is played to avoid constant work for the dealer, even a Q high is pretty good equity. They both had a good read on each other probably not having too much, the flop was unlikely to connect for either. If either had a decent pair pre-flop the re-raising wouldn't have stopped or they would have both shoved to let a 60-40 scenario or coinflip decide the top winner and the smaller major winner.
Heads‐up is both the part no-one really wants to drag out but also the purest part of the game because you're playing each other way more than the actual cards. Tight mathematical players typically suck at it for that very reason because your opponent will fold the few times u play or call your raise with 7-2 and outflop your aces with a set of two's you'll never see coming. U gotta play the shit hands. Q-8 or connected cards are pretty decent to see a flop and feel each other's strength with. The all in was a very good read by Ivey because body language showed the hesitation creeping in.
