Yes, the crusades were more than justified. Seljuk Turks were trying to conquer European land and were causing a lot of disruption. Everyone in Europe agreed to go on a religious war against the Seljuks to reclaim the Holy Land. It was truly a historical achievment, because many nations decided to put their differences aside to focus on one true goal of fighting for the truth, fighting in the name of God. Were the crusades themselves a success?...it varies, sometimes they were, sometimes they weren't, but one thing is for sure, it wasn't a barbaric attack against minor religion, but a true military union against a common enemy. I hope what I said is right.
