For me, the way I kicked vaping was coming to the realisation that the high is trash and it is hurting my body, and it costs money, and vapes always break, along with my lungs hurting and I started having breathing issues. After thinking about the reality of vaping, quitting vaping was very easy. Nicotine is a terrible drug, apart from cigars. I respect a nice cigar. ////

It's not "just" psychological in such a dismissive way. The actions and pathways of addiction are very powerful and not to be underestimated. Be aware.

same goes for any addiction. im an alcoholic (non active : 3.5 years sober) and i had to distance myself from drinkers for a very long time. i still dont hangout with people if theyre drinking, other than a couple of my alcoholic friends im a group if theyre drinking and no one else is.
remove the temptation, or you are dooming yourself. real friends will understand, the ones
who dont, good riddance.

i pretend to take a hit. i reach over where it would normally be, grab nothing, hold nothing to my mouth and suck between my teeth, then I hold my breath until I need to breath and blow out slowly as if I took a hit.
it feels good to breath again it feels kind of like a hit and I just do that as many times as I want.
I try to trick myself like that especially in public when I'm feeling anxious I just do it and pretend I took a hit and I'll be fine
