The VST is alive and well. If I was Arturia, I would design a synthesizer that can replicate synthesizers like the Jupiter six and eight as well as a few other classic synths into one like the Korg MS 20 or something very modular and experimental like the Moog model 15 or the Roland system 100 and focus on semi modular emulations And Jupiter synthesizers and base them on your software, & still be semi-modular in design ,. as well as keeping it under $700 since youāre dealing with software often these days in a box if you use the same engine as your VST in a box idea, You should be able to keep the prices down and still very flexible. I would also like to see a version with more polyphony because of the VST power of the day, as well as full keys and after touch,. I think if you focus more on those designs, they will be more desirable rather than focusing on experimentation. I believe The above mention units are experimental enough, especially if you focus on aftertouch and sound designing with that technology in mind like the Jupiter synths and the CS 80 with lots of different waveform options, you will likely have better sales since Iām trying to find, my Jupiter replacement as well as many others like me that a want those classic synthesizers in larger more than 37 keys semi-Modular hardware format.
And if the above mentioned synthesizers can be replicated somehow with the mini freak, then I would focus on that for better sales as well on a āModular Freakā solutions in a semi modular VST in a box design,..
if somehow you can make that completely analog or analog sounding when needed, that would be great unless it can be done digitally With the same powerful analog signal that we all love. But Iāve noticed very different levels of volume when I compare my micro freak, for example to my access virus, we seem to be needing more volume or signal in comparison, and that needs to be addressed in my idea for, a more focused design format.

I love the flexibility, effects, sound, the price. I find extremely important to have vst version too. Because everyone today is working with a DAW too.
The only thing preventing me to buy is the keyboard: I play live and I cannot accept mini keys, also if they are good enough.
I would accept to pay more to have a full keyboard, maybe with more hardware controls (2 splitted oscillators pots).

It's a beautiful-sounding synth with a lot of guts to it. I love its sound. However, I would really like to see a more fully fleshed-out version with more polyphony, and full-sized keys. I would also LOVE to see a companion AU/VST version to plug directly into my DAW to manage presets and store presets in the MIDI tracks in the DAW.
