How do you change the crossfader mode on this unit so you can do scratching with the crossfader?

I have a hercules 500 and I can not do this for the life of me. Baby scratch not problem, push forward pull back. When I try chirping or using the crossfader I can not get the sound that you just showed. What am i doing wrong or not doing?
