I didnāt think this was important years ago but as my relationship with Christ grew my understanding of this did as well, why marry warfare, literally sleeping with the enemy. Weāve seen in scripture many times He instructed His children not to marry their men and women because they served other gods and ultimately will turn you away from Him

I totally agree with Amani. My last relationship was dating interfaith. I was Christian and he was ungodly and he had no desire for God or any other God, which caused us to not be equally yolked which is why we arenāt together today. It got to the point before I left that I felt I was experiencing total spiritual warfare in that house. No words needed to be said, I just felt it !

My ex said "if you dont believe in God, what stops you from cheating on me." She ended up cheating and justifying it by saying that it was because she didn't trust me because I wasn't religious. I have never cheated before and will never. Your religion doesn't make you a good person.

I agree with Amani! I was dating someone who was Catholic and although we both believe in Jesus in different ways, his faith was way different than mine and ultimately it did not work out because our values did not align. Never again.

Been married 8 years....I would never recommend to date outside your faith. This is just one of the non-negotiable things especially if faith is important.
Faith is the core of who we are. If that's not aligned, it is very difficult.

How you doing folks, I have to chime in on this little discussion because thereās a difference between interfaith and inter-religion. When you talk about a persons religion thatās where the two differ in respect to a persons faith they are two different things, faith is faith in God meaning you donāt worry about anything happening different than what you are looking for as the outcome. When it comes to religion, thatās where the differences start thatās where the discussion has to start so that the two can make a decision on whether it would work according to what they understand about the word of God.

My parents have different religions and they are still togetherā¦ sometimes itās works. And as for children children should choose themselves what religion they want to follow, you can take them to the church and mosque and when they are old enough they choose.

I agree. I think itās good to have friends that are outside your religion, but to marry with 2 different faiths just seems like it overcomplicates things. Which holidays do we celebrate? Which faith takes more precedence? Will the other person feel like theyāve lost part of themselves? Does one think their religion is the āright oneā? Maybe not, but it just seems like there will eventually be some sort of resentment down the line.
