there are advances in their expression on revolver but imo pepper's is much more cohesive and progressive. no not a concept album but a suite of songs forged into a chain. full orchestral sounds, unlimited ambition and musical dreams beyond what you thought it was possible for four young working class men to dream. over to our vinyl monday correspondent

Pepper: better holistic album.
Revolver: better songs

"Revolver" is the better album, in my view. But "Sgt Pepper's LHCB" was a much huger deal when it happened in the 60s. It sold a lot more, did a lot better on the charts.... and more importantly - it was just a way bigger game changer when it came out. People were WOWed way more by Pepper. There are many artists who say that Pepper changed everything for them. Check out what Roger Waters said about how Pepper affected him.

sgt pepper had better track flow but revolver is more impressive because they were able to make just as sonically of a masterpiece but with way more sparse arrangements

Both Abby Road and Let it Be are better.... Some of The White Album is their best work but is still accompanied by many so so songs... filler. ๐ฎ
