I always sleep with at least underwear on for this very reason lol Not specifically cockroaches but bugs in general...spiders, ticks, etc. No thank you. I also sleep with an eye mask on and my hair over my ears and the eye mask strap holding the hair in place to keep bugs out of my ears too lol (I don't want to wear ear plugs because I want to hear my dog if he needs me in the middle of the night, so that's as good as I can do 🤣

I had a big old Southern palmetto bug crawl up the inside of the outside seam of my pant leg once. It got up to my knee. (flared yoga pants) We called the super first thing in the morning (yeah, it was 12:30am). That was at least 15 years ago, and I still live in fear - even though we have quarterly exterminator visits. CSB! On topic, you would definitely feel it. And now that area is completely closed for business for the next few hours. 😱😰

I do not see ho me a cockroach or any other insect could ever get in there by itself. It’s not like it’s an open hole to just crawl into, it’s pretty closed off and that is the body’s way of protecting it. Imagine if it was just an open hole: the lack of hygiene that would mean and also risk of infection. A cockroach would have to seriously push itself in, like how could you not notice that? The ear is different because that actually is a straight up open hole to just crawl into.
Also if you are sleeping among cockroaches this is not your biggest concern.
