I agree with you Daniel ! No way in this world someone selling coins wouldn't open up a roll with an S-VDB on the end or a nice flashy Indian Cent on the end. Who put the Morgans in the rolls anyways? Plain n simple...seeded rolls to entice a buyer.

It'd be a lot better if the sellers were just honest. "Random Date sorted Morgans! Unsearched for VAMs! Guaranteed BU CC in each roll!" Then charge about book price for the coins. The customer can have the fun of looking them over for VAMs. Good way to move a lot of morgans at full value. Just if youre gonna present them like coin roll lotteries then actually rig it like a proper lottery.

Well, the fact is that a roll of Morgan Dollars canβt be unsearched. Rolling machines didnβt come out until a bout 1910 or so. So thereβs no way they could be unsearched. Old Morgans came in 1000 coin bags

My LCS sells unsearched wheat cents, they search everything else. When a customer comes in with bags of wheats then they just count em and pay them 2 cents each for them and resell them as it is for 4 cents each. I've found everything but a 1909 S vdb, I have found a 1931 S, I have found several 1914 Ds, I have found several 1922 No Ds, countless early teens S minted wheats including the 09 S. So many uncirculated 1909 P VDBs. But I know you said Indian head pennies, morgans, and that is something they do not sell unsearched, just wheats cents
