My 15PM hasn’t arrived yet, but I just checked it out at the local Apple Store. At least compared to my current 12PM, it’s a big improvement! * OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) on the 5X lens seems pretty solid! That, at least in the sense of taking a still image casually, and even intentionally trying to jiggle the image a little. * Similarly, 4K60 video with panning around looked very smooth at 5X — not at all jiggly. From what little I’ve done with it so far, I agree that it’s a really good feature improvement! I have no doubt I’ll find it very useful. However, don’t shoot 4.8X, say, on the 15PM. It will digitally scale that up from the main lens with will look dreadful. If you want even close to 5X, shoot it at exactly 5X, so that it uses the actual 5X lens!
