WTH 😮. I have been working on furniture and homes since I was 7. I just did my best job at whatever I was told to do. Hey! I was wondering do I need to prime before putting on texture spray? I had to patch a whole bunch of drywall so I wanted to match the existing texture around it. So not quite sure which order I need to do things. Thanks!

I always tell my clients this but some of them don't want to listen to me because the person at home depot told them that the paint has primer already. But over joint compound it doesn't create a seal it just sucks up the paint that they spend double the price on. What do you recommend I tell a client that won't listen next time?

If you paint wood with oil-based primer, do you need to paint it with oil-based paint? You didn't cover that.

I have painted my cabinets doors without sanding I can see it peeling off all ready at some areas am I able to paint over with the primer then paint over it again ?

I got gliddan’s latex primer and sealer for drywall. Should I get a PVA instead? Whats the difference

We use 200series flat or Super paint flat.... done thousands of new homes.... Never had any problems...

True words...but when self employed not rich and costs are against you...here in uk it difficult to part with about £15 a litre of zinnser primer or bonding solution...😅

Once you prime with an oil based Primer, do you have to paint with oil based paints in the future? I was always told you can put oil based products on top of latex, but you can not paint latex on top of oil. Is that true?
