🆕 Big news for Kendall Yards — a new 200-unit, six-story building may finally rise on that vacant lot west of the Monroe Bridge.

Developer Jim Frank is proposing a $50–$70 million project called Kendall Yards Active Adult — age-restricted to 55+ with retail on the ground floor and apartments above.

Designed for empty nesters and downsizers who want urban living with walkable amenities, the building would offer studios, one-beds, and up to three-bedroom units — plus underground parking.

The idea? Create a real mix of residential, retail, and community — not just coffee shops and offices.

Construction could begin next spring, with move-in by 2028.
