I activated a WWFF recently. Park supervisor said, "Where's all your gear? Last group that did this had two truckloads, generators, computers." After I finished he said, "You didn't make a sound. That last group was hollering all day." I then tried to explain that I probably got more DX with my 4W KX1 (no speaker) than that last group of yahoos with their yappy yap (SSB) and laptops (FT8). I grabbed my backpack and headed back to the car.

Just remove ham radio from the equation, just respect people and the environment you are in. My biggest problem is judging people by my own standards.
